The ULE it's a project made by ~infraZoom with the help of its members.
It consist in a list of the most famous existing ultrawide lenses, this Encyclopedia is a little help for who wants find more infos about the lenses used for this kind of photography.
The Encyclopedia is divided in three main categories: Circular FISH-EYES, Frame FISH-EYES and Hard Wideangles; the different classification of the lenses in these three categories depends on their field width.

EF means Electronic Focus
EX means Expert/pro (better construction, high level lens)
IF means Internal Focus
Asp means Aspherical
HSM/USM means faster Auto Focus

You may find this site useful... it's a listing of all the lenses available for Nikon by category (wide angle and wide angle zoom are the top two). You can choose other brands too (ie; Canon, etc) with detailed info on each lens and links to the manufacturers' info pages on each lens as well
